I'll buy the first round of drinks!

This trip is getting more interesting! <g>

My "usual drink" is a Diet Coke.

well, guess where we went for part of our vacation -ng

I am really tired of that place!

Vegas was dead. Traffic on the strip was a breeze. Granted, we were there on Thursday and Friday nights but we really expected to see Friday night pick up. Come Sat. morn, when we checked out, we thought, "ok, here come the masses". Well, if they came, it was after noon. We left about then. Traffic coming back to LA was el zippo.

Anyone who knows the trip from LA-Vegas-LA, via auto, knows that that drive with traffic is hellatious. Not this time.

We have a good friend who owns an independent car-rental business. (You know, the kind of place that rents 1980 Omni's for 24.95. -g-) He has been in Vegas for over 35 years.

He said he cannot remember a time when business has been so bad. I was thinking maybe people can get new Cadi's for 19.95, so why bother with the Omni? -VBG-

Then we headed over to San Diego, La Hoya. Drove the 100 mile round trip from there to the new Marriot Hotel (they have a deal with the American Indians). Nice spanking new hotel/casino in the middle of no where. Save your money. No free drinks while gambling. Why go? -g-

Needless to say, we won't make the piffing Vegas trip. :-(

BUT, hubby won good in Vegas that paid for the whole vacation and then some, so it wasn't THAT bad!
