Given the large number of religions they can't all be true obviously. However, that doesn't mean that some elements of them are true. I do get increasingly doubtful. Some elements of astrology say are probably also true. Science has no answers as yet to where the universe came from and what it is and what consciousness is. So those are the two big mysteries still. Any so-called explanations of them are very partial. But I get incresingly skeptical that any religion has any good explanation of them either.

IMO Christianity is a particularly difficult to understand and nonsensical religion.... so maybe it needs to get obscured more and distorted. Without the power of the church few people would follow it because they wouldn't understand it.
