I am as optimistic as ever and, even better, more upbeat on the market as we close in on DJIA of <5000, Nasdaq <1000, and S&P <700.

Jay, I've been reviewing some long-term US index charts today. There is a major inflection point around late 1994 and early 1995, soon after Newt Gingrich and the Republicans took over the Congress. I think a lot of stocks gapped up around this time and ran away.

So in a worst-case scenario where things go totally wrong and the market pukes up every last scrap of a rotten meal, this old inflection point seems like a possible ultimate bottom. Am I being negative enough for your scenario? <g>
