mepci - you are extremely misinformed

trading in your own shares is not illegal. there are many restrictions but certainly not illegal. you haven't presented any evidence that would indicate DELL violated any SEC guidelines.

DELL granted options to employees since the beginning of time. Virtually all of these options have been of the fair mkt non-qualified value variety that vest 20% per year and have 10 year life.

DELL has used options to lock in the price that they pay in share repurchase program. over life of program they bought back 1 billion shares at about 1/2 the current mkt price.

Try to focus on the facts.
