Doesn't Texas have a 'Government Sunshine Act" as well? So maybe Gov. Perry could drop *his* opposition to carrying out the law too....

Nope, Baker & Botts sewed that one up -- the gov's incrimimating papers are lodged in Poppy's library, with the legal theory that they are out of reach of FOIA or the public.

An unusual move -- I'm certain they are "just being sure" that nothing incriminating comes up to get the bandwagon going to get Junior impeached, a la bin Laden and the Saudis, Kenny Boy and Enron offshore accounts, or a few Texas Suicides, etc. etc.

They do, they do, but what did Junior George do? He shipped his papers over to the Senior George Library and then declared they were no longer public. Of course nobody agrees, but he thinks he can keep them privately locked up in lawsuits for a decade (considering the Repug courts).
