ah....I just walked over and had some great Mexican food, I feel much better.

Yen says the wedding will be quite a show, Saturday morning, all of the groom's family, friends...etc, will make a procession to the bride to be's home. And I guess there is some ceremonial negotiating...all leading up to the bride and her family being coaxed to the church for the wedding. Followed by a feast...during which, Yen says it is tradition for the groom's family to repeatedly thank everyone for coming even though the food, etc is not worthy of them.....that they have done their meager best...

I really look forward to meeting Yen's Papa, he is not doing well. He has Parkinson's and is deteriorating quickly. He stayed in Vietnam after the fall of the South. He stayed because his mother would not leave, and he was the youngest son with the fewest children. He finally emigrated in the early 90's. He spent a lot of time in re-education camps after the fall of the South..

edit: Yen just called....turns out I poisoned myself last night. She called the restaurant where we ate last night. I had a couple of bites of her gnocchi, which had wheat flour in it. No bug....
