Decent is one of those words that different people see differently

If you are talking about ethics then you are going to be talking about a lot of things that people see differently. It doesn't keep me from talking about them.

How about Karen's substitute word of nice? I figure it is also something that people see differently but I have no objection to using if it is something you see as less problematic.

I posted a note a few days back about protests over Amazon carrying a book. I wrote to them in support of their position, and just got back a thank you email saying that they had gotten voluminous emails against them (presumably an organized campaign) but mine was the only email they had gotten in support.

If others agree with me that Amazon should offer books to the public without regard to their content, letting adults choose what they want to read (you have to have a credit card to buy, so children don't have a chance of getting inappropriate materials, assuming such things exist), a note to Amazon would, I know, be much appreciated. If the censors can campaign, so can those who believe in free speech!

The email address is my email came back from is resolution@amazon.com. But I don't know whether that address accepts email. All I did was write to their Investor Relations email address, (ir@amazon.com) and ask them to forward it to the appropriate department.

I can assure you they will appreciate any support for their position they can get.
