Somebody pointed out that this language is what we always use right before we launch the missiles. When you hear an American president say "we have no quarrel with your people," better duck.

You could well be right, although I expect the Monday speech may well be the initial unveiling of the Bush administrations "day after" strategy, that will be couched in the US as liberators language. But that is pure speculation on my part. Still, Bush is going to have to address this issue soon anyway, Monday is as good a day as any to start. Of course, any "day after" plans presuppose the elimination of the Saddam regime (including heir-apparents)and probably the Baathist party as well
