I don't remember McGovern's dream in 1972. I just remember that this was the first time I was eligible to vote for President but I thought McGovern was crazy and Nixon was a crook, so I didn't vote.

I knew a lot of SDS types. Not sure what their idea of a future was but I think it involved lots of sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll. Not that I object to sex, drugs and rock'n'roll, but who's going to build the roads and bridges, who's going to pick up the garbage, who's going to work in the prisons, etc.

And that's a rather big etc.

Still have no idea what Noam Chomsky et al. envision when they think about utopia.
