A dangerous threat to us? Or to anybody? And what if we are wrong about the danger? ("Ooops, sorry, we should not have invaded your country, killed your military personnel and leveled your cities, but we made an honest mistake about your level of dangerosity....") Forgive me if I do not find your argument compelling. But I've seen where it goes. Not hard to Reductio Ad Absurdum that one- I hope Neo picks up the ball on that, since he likes to Ad Absurdum now and then himself.
