Hey Buckey,

Under the "...kick yourself right square in the arse..." department of my personal life experiences...... I had the opportunity in 1975+/- to buy a low-miles, pristine, bright yellow Panterra from a guy that worked at the phone company who was getting married. I was still healing from a dirtbike crash, taking a few pain meds, and thought the $8K price tag was a little steep at the time. Dumb, John, ....really, really, really dumb.......!!!! panteraplace.com This may well be the one...!!!

My cousin owned the Lincoln shop in Clearwater, Florida for many years. He and most of his sons were members of the Pantera 200mph Club". As they say in Cairo, the cars were just plain bloody Furuking fast...!!!

Tom Tjaarda obviously knows his stuff, and I think I will buy a Laforza for 4x4 winter duty one of these days. If you're going to bite the SUV price-bullet (..new or slightly pre-owned..) it makes sense to have something unusual, but basically American, with a boatload of go-fast towing power.

Thanks for your input. I've got a feeling that the boys in Escondido may score the money they need on this "..grand tour.." the PSV is taking.

John :-)
