Re religion.

Somewhere on SI I have the story when I went for my coastal skippers practical exam. You spend 5 days and nights at sea. It turned out the crew, who were all raw green, were a group of Jehovah's Witnesses. About six of them. It was a big secret and the first four days were quite enjoyable.

The real skipper, wife (who was the cook) and I chatted about this and that. The crew were good company too. Quick learners from what I remember.

On the last night I admitted I had smuggled a bottle of single malt Whiskey on board. I was worried that the skipper would fail me (as it was strictly against the rules). He let it go, we opened it, and all had a few glasses. Then somebody mentioned some aspect of something, and then the subject of religion was brought up, and then the truth spilled out, and all hell broke loose. -LOL-

We parted on good terms the next day though. -g-
