Good concise snap shots of a bunch of important issues that we never get any news about on this side of the pond.

Acutally reminds me of a the old International Harry Schultz Letter. (Used to subscribe to it back in the 1970s.)

Per Turkey. Aren't they the most progressive of the Moslem nations? Recall that last year they passed some extensive reforms giving considerably greater legal and political rights to Turkish women than is availble to Islamic women in other Moslem nations.

AFA getting a piece of the regional energy pie? Believe they have coming their way already because of strong US support for a Caspian oil pipeline route through eastern Turkey to a loading terminal on their Med Coast.

If there's anything that might be giving them cold feet about being a participant in another Iraq operation, more likely, it's controversy over the Kurds possible role.

OT/<trying to sort out boiler problems> Are you getting some cold air up in the Tuscan hills yet?

We're getting closer to our first good frost in central Ohio. But haven't quite seen it yet.

Cross country season is about over for my H.S. senior. Looks like he'll play co-ed indoor soccer with a bunch of his friends, just for fun. Nice group of kids.
