RtS, we've had a small options discussion on Brian's thread. My guess is many are sitting on underwater quality company stock and maybe there's a way besides selling CCs to make a little extra money. I thought of selling calls and puts at the same strike and expiration. But I need to inquire if I have to have cash on deposit to sell the puts. That would nix the strategy.

If you are looking for possible winners outside of chips, consider EFII, AFCI, and DSPG. This is not an endorsement. These companies are very sound financially and they have interesting and, sometimes, market leading technology. They didn't make my list, but that could mean that I haven't figured them out, yet.

I owned DSPG for a while in 1996 and '97.
