Good definition of imperialism One of my great grandmothers was Turtle Mountain Chippewa. She married a German carpenter and moved to Mississippi. Her daughter owned a restauraunt. Her granddaughter is an artist. Her grandson is in the computer industry. The succeeding generations are nurses, lawyers, and computer programmers. We adapted, and we thrive. We are Americans. Almost three hundred million Americans and recent immigrants, someday to become Americans, have similar stories.
