Tommaso,

This BEARX fund has been good. I messed up and have not added on the dips.

The folks at Merrill Lynch must be working overtime. Yesterday I had a call from my broker. Evidently they have been going through the accounts. Anyway they were trying to get me to move some of my capital to their mutual fund system. He was selling some mortgage backed bond funds. I asked him if he had any ideas with Graham type of values in stocks and he said old MO just got sold off and did not have any other ideas.

This guy was putting his clients in F at much higher prices - I bet he did not call these clients yesterday. I was talking to him when he was doing this and told him to call me when the stock got to $4 and I would look at the balance sheet and try and figure out the pension fund and debt exposure. <g>

One has to feel sorry for these kids.

Last week Morgan Stanley here in Wayzata had an open house with great food for their clients. I asked the young folks what they were selling these days and they said convertibles were hot.

Joan

Tommaso,

I see that they took TLM out and shot it. Looks to me like we are getting some 1998 low prices in some of the oil/ng stocks. This market is getting down right brutal, <g>
