Niners looked real good.

Part of it wuz that the Lambs (interesting to be able to use that term again) were so bad. But that wasn't all of it. I guess what I liked best was an attitude by various members of the defense. Not the whole defense yet, but that kind of thing can spread. If it does, this might be an interesting year.

Meanwhile, the Raiders looked dominating and Cuba produces some good pitchers.

The Yankees' loss left a rather bitter taste in my mouth.

Argh.

I was surprised that the Twinkies beat the A's.
It should make for an interesting ALCS.

I'm pulling for your Giants to beat Atlanta.

I'm sort of torn as to who to cheer for after that.

I guess St. Louis has the best story line so far.
They have been through some much this year.

Then you have Minnesota's miniscule payroll and nearly being forced to fold up as a team.

And the Angel's never making it to the big show.

And Barry Bonds' quest for a ring.

I've seen enough of Atlanta to want them to be in it. I hope they go down hard. (Bitter NY'er, ain't I...)

Speaking of going down hard... The Mini Packers suffered their first defeat this Sunday.

We lost 14-0. It was a tough loss. We could not do anything against their defense. It was horrible.
Nothing went right. Bad snaps, bad passes, bad running tactics. Not to mention the other team was really good...

It's back to the ol' drawing board. We have to do something to help the kids get back their confidence. They are playing scared now and have stopped thinking.

I have to find a way to settle them down in the huddle. I had only thought of that at the end of the game. As soon as I started joking with them they began playing better. They were more at ease. But it was too late by then. Time had run out.

Our team has certain weaknesses and certain strengths. Hopefully we can figure out what they are and design some plays that help us take better advantage of them.

Next week we play a team that is even better than the one we played yesterday.

I better break out the play book.

Yep, the Huskies were overrated up around #12...

I thought they were going to be in tough with Cal, the Huskies have been way too lucky against Cal, for too long.

Congrats Ratty. I'm looking for a Twins/Giants matchup...
