"Do you think the fact that we are in a bear market has anything to do with the fact that the last two times the signal presented itself, the implied result did not occur?"

Not really, since this signal occurs only at the ends of downtrends. And, as I have repeatedly emphasized, it is not a signal that a reversal will definitely happen. In fact, it's not even a signal that a reversal will probably happen. It says that if a reversal happens, it will be very strong. The way to play it is to enter at the first sign, then watch for followthrough. If there is no followthrough, take your profit. If there is followthrough, hang on for dear life.

Jeff keeps construing my posts to say that I am claiming it will happen, no matter how many times I explain it. At this point, there's nothing else I can say about it without repeating myself.

I wonder what his reaction would be if I collected a few examples of the many times he said that something could happen in the market at a certain point -- goo, paint, da boyz shenanigans, whatever -- and then use that as a basis to keep insisting that he said something would happen? That would be pretty easy to do. There have been lots of times that he has said the market could go one way or the other. What if I were to take one of those statements out of context and then just keep harping and insisting that he had made an erroneous call?

He'd probably nuke me.. :-)
