I Consider The Article Somewhat Provocative BCherry.

And was surprised there were no comments on it.But if you were to visit the CFZ over the past couple of years,you have found that thread to have been fairly representative of much of this type of thinking as well.

The comparisons to Japan and other countries from an historical perspective are quite common there.I personally don't buy the argument " already over ", but I also don't buy the argument that it is " just the beginning ".

America has had a level of prosperity Historically unequaled in magnitude, yet there are no qualifications to suggest that the current Global military strength or dominance alone " guarantees " continued prosperity and influence.

Protecting yourselves from those who are jealous or would do you harm is Universal.What might be of concern at times is whether protecting interests abroad is not being misconstrued by other regions as an attempt to exploit unfairly or unjustly,to the point where they feel threatened enough to do their own protecting in a concerted effort.

It is a delicate balance.
