A good Bush speech tonite might reverse the Bush/Greenspan effect of driving down the markets whenever they speak.
From what i surmise Iraq is a no go until late jan/early feb. That gives enough time for inspections to fail even using the French two step approach. Congress expected to give Bush an authorizing resolution this week. So if Saddam does as expected a war with allies is probable by 2/1. If Saddam reforms or is taken out by more sane folks in iraq(another general) there is a peace possibility to. Anyway with the war 3 months away, corporate scandals old news for now, the markets can look at the economy and more importantly at its own internals which scream Rally. So the dead cat if that is what it is should be rewarding for awhile. mike

You Brits, X or not, or consistent for your remarkable spirit and courage.

Certainly more than this turncoat.

I have my doubts, however, that the Americans can save the day this go round.

Cheerio.
