I'm from New York City. You really ought to reconsider your assumptions. I grew up in Manhatten. The streets around the area where the WTC was to be built were where I bought used coils, capacitors, crystals, and inductors to build radios and amplifiers. Further uptown was a chemical supply shop which I haunted. I had a great childhood wandering about the city(Manhatten) visiting the Planetarium, Museum of Natural History, the 42nd street library, Central Park, learning to fish in the pond at 59th and Central Park South. Building dams on the creek behind the area where the Wollman Memorial Rink was to be built. Ice skating in the winter, baseball, softball, and roller skating the rest of the year. Went to college at Worcester Tech, UConn., and Columbia University.
By the way the name for a person from the Philippines is a Filipino.
I reiterate:
I am not talking about cultural imperialism. From your response:
"You have misunderstood my point. American Imperialism is a fact of life. Like it or not.(my comment)
And so is catholic Philipino oppression against the muslims of the southern Islands..."
Once again you tacitly admit that American Imperialism is a fact of life.
