This is a very big if-- but if the actions of certain corrupt CEOs were to throw the US into a 1930s style depression (which I don't think their actions will accomplish, but, for the sake of argument), you could argue that the economic damage, personal suffering, increased suicide rates, etc. that would be inflicted to the 300M people in the US, plus the billion or so people in Japan, Europe, Mexico & Canada, whose economies would also tank in such a scenario, could outweigh the deaths of 3000 people.

The world economy is totally screwed at this point in time. Please see what is happening in South America.

The most recent religious battle was started with those 3000 deaths. The war has existed for almost 1500 years and was exacerbated by the advent of Wahhabism. This cultural war is far more important than crooked CEOs or bad economies. It is global in nature and has nothing to do with the economics of the West.

Hadith narrated by Abi Hurira:

"The last hour won't come before the Muslims would fight the Jews and the Muslims will kill them so Jews would hide behind rocks and trees. Then the rocks and tree would call: oh Muslim, oh servant of God! There is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only "Gharkad" tree, it is of Jews' trees."
