Stan, I think it depends entirely on which REIT you are talking about. REITS are not a class of stock which responds to generalizations very well. REITS don't tend to move as a group, like the techs or pharmas or industrials, either, from what I can see. All depends on the dividends paid to investors and the perceived safety of the dividends, from what I can observe. I like my 6 to 7-percent dividend payments, and even if they decline a bit, where else can I get 4-5 percent right now?

...'sharing the wealth' with the little guys..

All in all though REIT's have to pay out 90% of income back to the holders, right?
