If there were no other social influences, it would be hard not to, because one knew no better. There are influences, however, which afford one a knowledge that a conflict exists. One would always hope that, eventually, one would resolve the conflict in the best way possible, but it would probably take some time. Jefferson developed enough to know that slavery was wrong, but not enough to free his slaves......

Would you blindly join the "Hitler Youth" because you were taught it at your mother's knee?

People voted for Hitler because they were starving while their nation attempted to pay war reparations. Starvation equals comprise to most ordinary mortals.

Would YOU join the KKK because your dad brought
you up that way? Would you blindly join the "Hitler Youth" because you were
taught it at your mother's knee?

Quite likely he would, and quite likely so would you. I would suspect, for example, that you had parents who didn't punish you for independent thought, and that you weren't brought up in a rigid religous home and society where every transgression was severely punished.

Let's not forget that the Hitler Youth were much like our Boy Scouts Very popular. To reject them was not easy for young boys (they did really fun things!), and few parents had the courage to stand up against it, given the consequences.

And if morality really is societally based, then joining the Hitler Youth was moral, and rejecting it was immoral.
