Well, life being complex and me being aware of that, I did say "sometimes." You've had a bad experience with an apology, I surmise. All the talk about apologies as though they were big things and to be avoided, and about the evident burdens in their lives some find the whole issue of reciprocity, and of people they know just demanding and demanding it to the extent that they have developed actual POLICIES to handle this problem-issue, I find mystifying. I suppose such annoying situations have happened to me, but I'm glad I don't have to think of a half dozen examples over a lifetime. Or three examples. Or two. Surely if I give it some thought, I could think of one.
