Right Too Early...you stated "Only way i could see it happen would be if foreign inflows accelerated, fleeing catastrophe" which is a VERY interesting point.

Foreign money, on the contrary is STILL leaving US stocks and Mutual funds. Example, I was working in a large US Investment House - Internationally - and they have recently chopped the office from 120 to 20 staff... why? Because there is absolutely no business to be found - as most money (or what's left of it) has been re-patriated to it's origin - in search of alternative and more secure investment opportunities.

The US is no longer attractive for the Foreign investor, the implosion of the NASDAQ has left a very bitter taste in the mouth of the foreign money - which is likely to last for many, many years.

Now, I wish I could ask idiot Maria where all those "trillions of dollars on the sidelines" has gone...Exactly... It's not - AND NEVER WAS THERE - and without FRESH money to pump in - you are kind of left with a scenario similar to a CAR with no GAS.
