Hi CobaltBlue; Re: "One does not have the moral right to initiate force. But when force has been initiated, one has the moral right to respond."

Yes, but after Iraq invaded Kuwait, we forced them out again under UN mandate. Now we're fighting the UN to prevent them from voting to call us aggressors.

Re: "Further, when force has been initiated against those whom one is oblitated to protect, one is morally obligated to use force to protect them, as well."

In the Gulf War I, Kuwait and the other nations asked for our help. Now they're trying to hold us back. They're calling our attack on Iraq a "rape" of a small country by a big one. So by your own arguments, shouldn't we try to prevent that rape from happening? It's not for us to decide what Kuwait or Saudi Arabia should ask us for. They are not children that have to have a legal guardian, nor are we a legal guardian.

One does not have the moral right to initiate force. But when force has been initiated, one has the moral right to respond. Further, when force has been initiated against those whom one is oblitated to protect, one is morally obligated to use force to protect them, as well.

Has Iraq "initiated force" against us, or against anyone that we are morally obligated to protect?
