You ought to take your own advice and spend some time with people who hold other opinions than those you so dearly cherish.
Why Canada? What do you have against Canada that you would have someone, whose opinions you dislike so much, move there? And more important, what makes you think I live in the States?
Is Canada a hot bed of wonderful logicians? They do have a superior mathematics faculty.
As to my rhetoric about US imperialism, well I used to believe that the USA was different from other countries mostly because of the D of I and the Constitution. Now I believe that the USA is just as self centered as every other country is even though the USA has a unique (but now largely forgotten) heritage. Pity, because there is so much good in Americans and they are being lead by short sighted mediocre politicians.
