There are many enemies. They all seem horrible. I am aghast at what happens in the Middle East- on ALL sides. I am horrified by what happens in Africa. Many parts of South America are in dire shape. There are really nasty people everywhere, people who have no compunction about killing and torturing the innocent. I cannot see us invading everywhere. And to make Iraq the case, well, it seems to me there are nightmares of greater magnitude than Iraq, and nightmares that could really be helped by our assistance.

Africa could use our aid. We could start a war on poverty, ignorance and disease in Africa, that would pay much greater dividends than a war against Iraq- which really IS a war against the Iraqi people, no matter what we say.
