Some Excellent points ODB.... This is a wonderful technique employed by CNBC and the news corps to 'justify' the TA to the masses. Do you think we are ever likely to see the HEADLINE: "BIG WALL STREET SELL-OFF CAUSED BY BEARISH 3 BLACK CROWES CANDLE FORMATION"....hardly.... More Likely is "MICROSOFT TAKES HIT AS BILL GATES ADMITS WINDOWS XP2 RUNNING 2 DAYS BEHIND RELEASE SCHEDULE"....... My Faves are the totally irrelevant ones like - "stocks tumble DESPITE DELL not changing -3% 'growth' Outlook for the QTR" or "Despite Chairman Greenspan's assuring words that Recovery is on track for 2020 - the slide in Stock prices continues." This is why I have almost eradicated reading "the news" from my list of things to do....Just more noise to confuse you.......The TA is most 99% correct.
