Good question... I withdraw my recommendation because they don't deserve the risk of intellectual dilution and heightened non-sensical rhetoric you would likely bring with you..As to my rhetoric about US imperialism, well I used to believe that the USA was different from other countries mostly because of the D of I and the Constitution. At least you finally admit that it is "rhetoric" based upon your "belief" and not logically founded (or explained convincingly). The US being different?? You bet we are... But are we still human beings, driven by the same instincts, logic, and emotions that other people are?? Absolutely.. We have just as much capability of being cruel, greedy, loving, selfless, as any other human being... But we have a system of laws, and more importantly, a belief that every human being has inalienable rights, bestowed upon them by a higher power (god..etc) and not some other human being. We don't have the right to succeed and be happy.. But we have the right to possess an opportunity to achieve those goals. And that why there are more foreigners seeking to come here, than there are people like you and Alec Baldwin (when he's not beating Kim Basinger) promising to leave if they don't get their way.Now I believe that the USA is just as self centered as every other country is even though the USA has a unique (but now largely forgotten) heritage Obviously the sky is more than a slightly different color in "your world" than it is in mine.. I think, overall, the US is a BETTER nation than it was 50-100 years ago. It's better because we're more moderate, civil rights have been advanced, and women have found a greater voice in the society... And the US, being FAR MORE ISOLATIONIST IN THE PAST, was FAR MORE "self-centered", if not deprecatory to the rest of the world caught up in its petty "blood and soil" p*ssing contests. But after WWII, we replaced their outright colonies and empires with one where the most effective economic power would call the shots... Where economic competition replaced military competition to a large degree, and business ties were so entwined that governments would have difficulty in convincing their people and corporate leaders to support military actions, except in the most grievous circumstances. Obviously the progress of American style democracy is not fast enough for the likes of you, so I hope you have found some other proletarian utopia where you'll find happiness. Hawk
