Well then, I guess we can all get on with our lives, and stop the discussion right here........ You were responding to this innocent interjection of peacemaking: "You are a good person. I am sure that she is too...and quite as qualified from (at least, and perhaps more) any perspective of feeling and caring..." I am puzzled as to why a reminder that you are both good and qualified people should elicit such a response from you. Is there no place in society for simple interventions to forestall a possible contretemps?
