what in the world does that have to do with anything? i have never claimed that Boston has good defense (i did at the beginning of the year say it would be 'better' with Damon in CF and Sanchez at 2B, and also that it would be better than the Yankees, both of which are true statements).

i harp on the Yankees defense because there are a bunch of people on this thread and elsewhere who are apparantly positioning themselves for Jack Grubman's job by claiming that Derek Jeter is a good shortstop, with nothing remotely resembling facts or evidence to back up that claim. as i think i have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, Jeter is not only a bad shortstop but an historically bad shortstop.

anyway, let the rest of us enjoy a post-season without the friggin' Yankees and Braves, will ya? geez, who ever knew they play baseball in Minnesota?

Cheers
