I've always wondered how you feel about Winston Churchill?

Didn't you mean Neville Chamberlain? <ng>

"We, the German Führer and Chancellor, and the British Prime Minister, have had a further meeting today and are agreed in recognizing that the question of Anglo-German relations is of the first importance for our two countries and for Europe.

We regard the agreement signed last night and the Anglo-German Naval Agreement as symbolic of the desire of our two peoples never to go to war with one another again.

We are resolved that the method of consultation shall be the method adopted to deal with any other questions that may concern our two countries, and we are determined to continue our efforts to remove possible sources of difference, and thus to contribute to assure the peace of Europe."

RE: "Winston Churchill"

My choice for the "greatest man of te 20th Century".

RE: "...should the US have left Europe to their own devices to deal with Hitler?"

Actually, that is exactly what the US did until the Japanese helped us change our foreign policy.

Saddam Hussein is not Hitler. Saddam is not even the strongest power in the Middle East. Saddam knows that its neighbor has 100 nuclear devices and is prepared to use them on him.

I am a huge supporter of Israel and an attack on Saddam by the US will help Israel. I don't believe Bush really understands the gravity of war. I don't believe he has any real empathy for the suffering a war will inflict on American working families whose kids volunteered to "be all they can be" and then will come home in body bags. When his daughters volunteer (ROFL) for action in Iraq, I might begin to believe, but we all know that pigs will fly then.
