Look at the results. Diplomacy is about net results. We won't lose any allies over Iraq, and will gain at least one new one.

Secondly on the economy, the President doesn't control the economy. Bush I inherited a tightening Fed (following the 80's boom), as did Bush II (following the 90's boom). To his credit W has been proactive with fiscal stimulus.

As the only superpower we will always have to deal with resentment. There's nothing we can do about that beyond playing fair.

So Alomex, what steps specifically would you take now to get the economy moving?
