"At least whichever 'truth' the film crew wanted to see, or was permitted to see" Bunk

Not at all! PA censorship of journalist is well documented.. Several of the PA's efforts to suppress coverage they didn't like have been reported. The successfully suppressed film of at least three major pro-bin Laden rallies that took place in September 2001. PA policemen just siezed the film. In one notorious case, an Italian journalist who took the film of a Palestinian lynch mob in in 2000 -- remembe the guy who raised his bloody hands in the window? -- had to run for his life. His employer wrote Arafat a grovelling letter promising never to do anything so uncooperative again -- which the Israelis later found and published, to their embarrassment.

There have also been several Palestinian journalists who have openly proclaimed their support for the cause. I mean, think about it, when is the last time you saw pictures of Hamas gunmen coming from Gaza? Do you think that Hamas gunmen are a rare or hidden feature of this conflict? The PA and Hamas just had a pitched battle in the streets -- 5 dead, 35 wounded -- did you see any pictures?
