some decent developments for PCs- wireless networking not anything new but sometimes obvious things like this spur a lot of sales.

Also this is a reply to the brcm upgrade because brcm makes money in these chips, looks like intel has a competitive product.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Intel Corp. Chief Executive Craig Barrett said Tuesday that a wireless networking feature will be a standard in Intel-powered laptops early next year.

Intel's 802.11 B/A dual wireless-networking feature will be found in laptops in the first quarter, with desktop computers shortly thereafter, Mr. Barrett said at Gartner's Symposium ITXPO.

Microsoft and AT&T Wireless are looking to meet the needs of large businesses that are arming their employees with wireless products.
The companies on Tuesday announced AT&T Wireless Workware, a suite of software and services designed to give corporate workers wireless access to e-mail and data that reside behind corporate firewalls. The suite can be used on a variety of devices, from notebooks to handhelds.
