RE:"Al,its gotten so ugly, there is very little reasonableness on either side. It will take decades to bring peace back to the region."

In the last 2000 years when has there ever been peace in the region?

There was peace in the region even after the Zionist arrived in the late 19th century and early 20th century. And there is reason why there has not been peace since. The violence only started when the Zionists began to push Palestinians out of their property. Tensions further increased when they[the Zionists]convinced the British in the twenties to divide up Palestine so they could have their own state..........and btw, the best of Palestine was reserved for the Zionists.

The Palestinians were unorganized ranchers and farmers in the 19th century......no match for the more sophisticated urbane Zionists. I am not saying the Zionists should not have gotten their own state but it should not have been at the expense of the Palestinians. The Palestinians then and now were/are not saints but nor were/are the Israelis then and now.

And btw this is info I got from the Library of Congress.........the most neutral source I could find on the subject. I have encouraged others on this thread to read it.........the history is telling and makes clear that the Israelis are not blameless when it comes to this feud.
