Bush and Sharon have assured that there will be no peace for some time to come. Might makes right only in Hollywood movies.

I don't think Bush has ever said such a thing (might makes right). Sharon might have but I can't think of an example where he did. They might think they are right, and they both have control over some might that they are not always reluctant to use but that doesn't mean they think that might makes right, rather that might should be used in service of what is right.

Tim, I am unclear how you arrive at your conclusion given the evidence. By his actions, Sharon has shown he has considerable more faith in the use of force than in negotiation. By his words, Bush has shown more faith in might than in diplomacy.

But whatever they believe, the result has been divisiveness, and not much resolution of the problems that have caused the conflicts in the first place. I don't think there are any simple answers, but in this day and age, aggressive rhetoric and the use of force don't look to be the only solutions at our disposal.
