I remember a couple of them. In third grade we where just starting to learn the metric system and my teacher got one of the units wrong. In 5th grade one of my teachers talked about how she had been in Canada and visited these "huge mountains 30 or 40 miles high".

I also remember when having finished some work in class I was reading a book about astronomy in class waiting for everyone else to finish. The teacher was surprised at the book I was reading and she brought me to the principles office. I thought I was getting in trouble for reading in class, but this was not the case. I guess the teacher just wanted to show off the things that her student was reading. I think this was the same teacher who talked about the giant mountains in Canada. The other story I have about her is that in the lunch room she saw some of the boys drinking wine from a tupperware container. She seems suspicious and asked them what they where drinking, but when one of them without hesitation or any show of fear said "its grape juice do you want some?" she said no and went away.
