No because he can support it well from Lebanon and reduce the risk of an Israeli attack on Syrian territory.

We may have to deal with him at
some point, but right now he's not in the top rung of world power.


Agreed but neither is Iraq. I would however agree that Iraq is on a higher rung then Syria.
