Dear Lee: I agree with you. Funny thing is I dont think economists would EVEN CALL THIS A RECESSION. As I understand it our GNP IS STILL GROWING albeit slowly compared to recent past. I dont think we have had two qtrs of actual decline?? (I think thats the definition of recession). Whats weird to us tech fans is we have had a DEPRESSION (at least I have) and I attribute that partly to the Y2K huge buildup that never was really necessary resulting in OVERSUPPLY of technology and partly to the fact that apparently technology has reached a point where its not necessary to push the envelope much farther for efficiency. We will eventually outgrow both and good times will return. jdn
