I think if you had a family it would be difficult to defy society knowing that your family would be killed. I think many Germans went along because they didn't want to become victims nor did they want to have their children become victims. My children are hostages for society, imo. I do not know if I could ever endanger them, for the sake of my principles. They have the right to endanger themselves for their principles, but I would have a very hard time risking them.

It's tough to answer questions like that concurrent with watching Buffy. <g>

I missed the first half of the show partially because I was asking questions like that.

As for serving as commandant, I don't think I would or perhaps even could do it either.
