On the other hand, Israel's bitch slapping the Palestinians for decades has only caused the Palestinians to develop suicide bombers. If you check the chronology, Carl, you will notice that development of the suicide bombers followed hard on the heels of the serious peace talks with a career terrorist.

Or maybe all this talk about respect is just trailer park mentality. Well, considering a trailer park is normally only a couple of steps above paleolithic culture (and potentially the hiding place of the "missing link"), it would be a fitting analogy to the current global environment... Let's face it... much of the world has come late to modernization. And for many (including folks like myself) change is so rapid that it's hard to find stable cultural footing. There have been abuses of undeveloped nations by the richer ones, but in general, those abuses had been inflicted and suffered by these people long before the arrival of the white man. Economic and cultural exploitation and abuse are not "white, anglo-saxon" inventions. Thus, the trailer park mentality we live in... Screw my rich neighbors, they owe me a living.. And I don't want to do what they had to do to arrive at such a status (like work, become educated, and then apply that knowledge for both their own benefit and the benefit of others). And that's why so many people come to the US and Europe... They know they will never have a chance at an "even shot" at success unless they become as corrupt as the dictators ruling them. So they come here, get educated, and many eventually return to their native countries when the dictators have been overthrown. I have to believe this, in major part, is responsible for the political change in Latin America. People traveling here to obtain the training and knowledge necessary to advance their own countries. As for "btch slapping Palestinians, the Arabs have been "slappin" them around for centuries... Hell, Jordan was economically exploiting them for 19 years before they lost the West Bank to Israel in 1967... And King Hussein didn't withdraw his claim over the territory until 22 years later, in 1989. That's 41 years that Jordan claimed sovereignty over the Palestinian people on the West Bank..* And if Israel has given it back to Jordan, you can be DAMN SURE there would not be a Palestinian State being discussed now... And considering that many Arab states have technically been at war with Israel since 1948, it seems they have been "asking for it"... And hey.. it's the world of ERA.. If a man's wife comes at him swinging a rolling pin, that a "slappable offense"... If she starts throwing the China at his head, that's definitely a hittable offense.. So if you can justify the creation of suicide bombers on the part of the Palestinians, any logical man can justify the "b*tch slappin" you're referring to... Hawk
