No, I think they're being very diplomatic about the fact they don't want us using their countries as launching pads for our attack against Iraq and then getting the fullblown Iraq attack back.

That's why we have to persuade them that there will be no "attack back" because there will be no Saddam regime left to order it.

There you go again trying to put words on me that have no basis in fact.

The remark was not aimed at you particularly, though you have had no kind words for American foreign policy lately.

I love this country and I don't want it to deteriorate into some renegade country that surrounds cities and uses children for target practice.

I don't doubt you love this country. So do I. We just have very different assessments of the nature of the political situation in the Mideast. And tell me, do you really think Bush wants to use children for target practice? Toning down the rhetoric is good advice for all sides here.

Among other sources. BTW, if you aren't familiar with it, Ha'aretz is a very left-wing source, sort of an Israeli NY Times. Ha'aretz and Debka rarely agree on anything.
