Because there is nothing that even looks remotely like a bottom. Not the vix/vxn, macd, rsi, abx....nothing. It is really the cycle guys that are calling for a bottom around here. And there are some really bright cycle guys here on SI, so I started thinking about why some of their views were not jibing with mine. And it also occured to me that this decline is happening very quickly after the July lows. One thing that was making me think "bottom" was the selling in CSCO. That was some pretty keen capitulation action on CSCO.
