I would rather see us back in SE Asia than have troops in South America or Africa! I wish we would get our SF people out of Columbia, but the "Anti-Drug" crowd has too much influence.

I was thinking today that the best structural move these South American Countries can make is to get rid of their Military and go with a beefed up Police force. I know Nicaragua is set up that way, and I read that another country down there has done the same. It gets rid of a ready-made revolutionary source.
