Douglas, Claude and some others here imply that GE has some kind of duty to make more details of its recovery process known. Although there seems to be such a requirement for Canadian mining companies, there isn't one for US mining companies. Actually, it would seem strange for a US company to give such details.

Why would a US mining company publicize its process for producing gold, any more than a US chemical chemical would publicize its process for producing nylon. In fact, most industrial plants want to keep their procsses secret, often forbidding cameras, for example.

Another point to keep in mind is that Ron holds many patents already in extractive metallurgy, so I wouldn't be surprised if aspects of current work are patentable.
