to be fair, I think what Neo meant, and tried to 'splain to you, was that it was shameful to be ignorant on purpose. i am not sure people who "choose" ignorance have all that much free will about doing so. People who refuse to learn, for example, usually have emotional reasons for not being able to succeed in school, and many such people also have undiagnosed learning disabilities. While such people may appear to be choosing ignorance, what they are really choosing is to be hobbled by fear, and circumstances- and is there really much choice about that?

I know what Neo is saying. I don't think he is ignorant. I simply think he thinks people have more control over their lives than I think they have. That is imply a disagreement, about the nature of life- and I don't see that there are any objective ways to prove either side of the argument.
