"Terrorists like to claim responsibility"

That's been the rule up to now. But look at the WTC attack, who would have expected that? Maybe credit will be claimed at a opportune time which will rattle the US population the most.

Let's hope it's a lone fruitcake. The Tarrot card left behind would point to this.

Not so. Look at the first attack upon the WTC, the USN ship bombing in Somalia, the USAF barracks in Saudi Arabia, etc. -- al Quaida and most terrorist groups do not step forward and accept responsibility until they are caught – denial is the rule rather the exception. The PLO may be exceptional.

Let's not forget that, regardless of terrorist affiliation, these acts are terrorism and as such fall with the same category as drive-by shootings and senseless murders by the Crypts, Bloods, Kings, Hell's Angles, etc. All these groups should be dealt with as if they were al Quaida affiliates.

Sorry -- only MHO.
